Today I am launching  a new tag on this blog, the “Boo” tag.

banking crisis and how to deal with it

It doesn’t really matter anymore how we got this far with the whole financial mess. What is more important now is how to get out of it asap. You can either prolong the pain by restructuring the bad banks or use a different approach. I have a specific idea on how to deal with the crisis and I’ll try to present it in a short way.

Our department

The economics department of the Goethe University is placed fifth among the German speaking econ. departments.

Not that bad for only eight years, huh?  And what’s more, there is a rumor that Nicola Fuchs-Schuendeln might join our department in the spring of this year.

A short thought…

Tomorrow, I bet on the Social Democrats and it’s not because I am big fan of Mr. Geoana and Co. It’s just because his voters will show up to vote. I will take the risk and predict that there will be a 10% margin between PSD and the runner-up.

I hope I’m wrong, but life has proved me right so far …

I was never a fan of democrats. But I think it’s time for some change, especially in the GOP. Maybe this elections will make the party choose the proper candidates, and forget about the “evil doers”…
